Prime Minister Najib Mikati issued the following statement:
"Since this morning, I have been following scenes of displaced families returning to their villages and towns across various Lebanese regions, especially in the south. These scenes affirm the Lebanese people's attachment to their land, soil, and values. We look forward in the coming days to the implementation of the army's plan to reinforce its deployment in the south, which will enable all displaced persons to gradually return to their homes and villages.
On this occasion, we urge all returnees, as well as those who are still steadfast in their homes, not to rush and to wait for instructions from the Army Command to ensure their security and safety."
