The news spread around indicating that Syrian armed factions released Lebanese detainees from Hama Central Prison was confirmed when the residents of the town of Tachaa in Akkar recognized the image of one of their own sons on social media.
Naif al-Mouri, the head of Tachaa municipality, confirmed that the town's son, Ali Hassan Ali, was identified after 39 years of his disappearance.
Ali was arrested in Syrian prisons in 1985 on charges of being a member of the Unity Party.
