As part of its ongoing efforts to mitigate traffic accidents and improve road safety, Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Works initiated maintenance and repair work on several roads across the country.
Today, multiple road sections underwent temporary maintenance, including pothole filling and emergency repairs, particularly along the northern coastal highway stretching from Amchit through Madfoun to Barbara in both directions. These interventions aim to reduce hazards that endanger motorists and pedestrians alike.
These measures fall within the ministry’s broader plan to upgrade the national road network. While urgent repairs are being carried out, comprehensive renovations will follow under contracts with designated contractors.
The ministry reaffirmed its "unwavering commitment to infrastructure development and road quality improvement," emphasizing that "enhancing road safety remains a top priority in its strategic agenda."
