Caretaker Education Minister Abbas Halabi met with MP Akram Chehayeb, with whom he discussed the educational landscape post-ceasefire, focusing on resuming in-person learning in prepared areas.
Halabi later welcomed LAU President Dr. Shawki Abdallah, accompanied by legal advisor Nour Hajar, discussing the university's centennial and its role in higher education. Dr. Abdallah highlighted plans for fostering technological innovation and entrepreneurship among students.
Halabi also met Beirut Marathon Association President May El Khalil, reviewing initiatives to support students and schools, including sponsoring shelters and promoting sports for social recovery. The minister formed a committee to coordinate these efforts.
