Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati met in Paris with European Union High Representative, Josep Borrell, ahead of the "International Conference to Support Lebanon and Its Sovereignty."
The meeting, attended by Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib, focused on Lebanon's internal situation and enhancing cooperation between Lebanon and the EU.
Additionally, Mikati visited the International Organization of La Francophonie, where he met with Secretary-General Louise Mushikiwabo, accompanied by Lebanon's UNESCO representative, Ambassador Mustafa Adib.
The meeting reportedly discussed security issues and the urgent need to uphold Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Mushikiwabo reiterated the organization's commitment to supporting Lebanon in ensuring the functioning of its political institutions and the full implementation of Resolution 1701.
