The Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Public Health issued a statement announcing that "the hostile Israeli artillery shelling with phosphorus shells on the town of Khiam resulted in two citizens suffering from severe suffocation, necessitating their hospitalization at Marjayoun Government Hospital where they were treated in the emergency department."
