Head of the Parliamentary Health Committee Bilal Abdallah met with Environment Minister Tamara Elzein at her office to discuss Lebanon’s complex environmental challenges and their impact on public health.
Discussions reportedly focused on the rising incidence of cancer and other diseases linked to increasing pollution in air, water, and food.
The meeting also addressed the ministry’s strategic vision for a long-term solution to Lebanon’s solid waste crisis.
