Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri met at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El Tineh, with European Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Šuica and her accompanying delegation, in the presence of European Union Ambassador to Lebanon Sandra De Waele.
The meeting also took place in the presence of Speaker Berri's Advisor Ali Hamdan.
Discussions reportedly touched on the general situation in Lebanon and the broad region, political and field developments, and the repercussions resulting from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon, and Israel’s continued occupation of parts of the southern border areas adjacent to the occupied Palestine.
Discussions also covered the bilateral relations between Lebanon and the European Union.
Additionally, Speaker Berri received in Ain El-Tineh, the Lebanese Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, Mustafa Adib.
Separately, Berri met with Acting Governor of the Lebanese Central Bank, Dr. Wassim Mansouri, with whom he discussed the country’s financial and economic situation.
