President Joseph Aoun reaffirmed to the American delegation, led by Ronny Jackson, Lebanon’s firm and final stance that “stability in the south and along the border requires the withdrawal of the Israelis and the return of Lebanese prisoners.”
President Aoun added that “Israel is violating the agreement, and the sponsoring countries, particularly the United States, must pressure it to fully comply.”
For his part, Senator Jackson assured President Aoun of his commitment to working with US President Donald Trump and the American administration to provide the necessary financial and logistical support for the Lebanese army. He added, “We want to see Lebanon and the Middle East enter a new era of peace and prosperity.”
Additionally, the President extended his congratulations to the Saudi King and Crown Prince on "Founding Day," expressing his pride in the fraternal ties between the Lebanese and Saudi peoples and the historical relations between the two countries. He also affirmed his commitment to strengthening and developing these relations in various fields.
