Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar confirmed that "the attack on UNIFIL forces is considered a crime and is very much rejected."
He stated after the Central Security Council meeting: "We will relentlessly pursue the perpetrators with full determination, and the Army Intelligence has detained 25 individuals for questioning, with one additional detainee held by the Internal Security Forces."
He added: "I have instructed the Army and security forces to be strict on the ground to maintain security, protect citizens, and prevent road closures."
