MP Gebran Bassil wrote on X the following: “Lebanon needs additional airports in Qlayaat, Hamat and Rayak, airports specialized in transporting goods and passengers at reduced prices and with private transportation, which contributes to stimulating tourism, developing the economy and regional development.”
He stressed the need to: "adopt an open skies policy and cancel the exclusivity of Middle East Airlines, which will reduce ticket prices for tourists and Lebanese."
