President of the Republic Joseph Aoun met at Baabda Palace with World Bank Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa Ousmane Dione to whom he stressed Lebanon’s determination to enact the necessary reforms.
“Lebanon is adamant about initiating the required reforms under the inauguration speech, and preparing the needed texts in that respect is among the new government’s first missions,” Aoun said to his guest.
For his part, Dione underlined that the World Bank will stand by Lebanon’s side its reconstruction and development journey.
Separately, Aoun met with Indian Ambassador to Lebanon Muhammad Noor Rahman Sheikh, who handed his host a letter from the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, in which she stressed that she is looking forward to reinforcing the bilateral relations between the two countries.
