Caretaker Public Health Minister Firas Abiad and Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs José Manuel Albares Bueno toured Baabda Governmental Hospital, accompanied by the Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon, Jesus Santos Aguado, and the hospital director, Farid Sabbagh.
During the inspection tour, Minister Abiad thanked Spain "for the support it provided to the healthcare sector in Lebanon, especially during the difficult circumstances the country has been going through recently."
Abiad also hailed "the positive role played by Spain, alongside the European Union, in continuously supporting the Lebanese health system."
The Spanish Foreign Minister, in turn, affirmed "his country's commitment to continue providing support to Lebanon, especially to the healthcare sector, to develop it and improve the medical services provided to citizens."
