Bassil: We do not accept the exclusion or marginalization of anyone, and we demand in the ministerial statement the implementation of Resolution 1701, a ceasefire, and the extension of state authority over all Lebanese territory
Bassil: We discussed the necessity of the swift return of Syrian refugees, the establishment of a respectful relationship with the Syrian state, in addition to financial reform through forensic auditing and the restructuring of the banking sector to recover depositors' funds
Bassil: We did not ask the designated Prime Minister for anything regarding the government formation; we are ready to help, and in our opinion, the government should be representative of the parliamentary blocs, but composed of specialists
Attieh from parliament: We demanded a government in which all components are represented

MP George Adwan, on behalf of the Strong Republic bloc: We are deeply committed to starting the Third Republic, and we asked Nawaf Salam that the government's plan be aligned with the presidential oath speech, and we want international resolutions to be fully implemented and the extension of state authority over all its territory
MP Taymour Jumblatt said, following the Democratic Gathering bloc’s meeting with Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam at the parliament, that “nobody can eliminate the other,” stressing the necessity of communicating with all sides.
“We have a chance to build the state of the future,” he added.
