The head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, confirmed, "We will facilitate the process of forming the government."
Bassil said in a statement after meeting with designated Prime Minister Nawaf Salam at the Lebanese Parliament as part of the non-binding parliamentary consultations: "We will be facilitators in every way, and in the previous government, no one accepted taking on the Ministry of Energy." This was in response to an MTV question about whether the FPM would relinquish the Ministry of Energy this time.
