MP Imad Hout wrote on his X account:
"Lebanese citizens are eagerly anticipating the resolution of the presidential election deadline tomorrow. As MPs, we must not disappoint them in Thursday's session, whether in a single session or successive ones. The president we elect must have Lebanese internal acceptance that allows him to embrace all Lebanese and manage dialogue among them for Lebanon’s benefit. He must also have external acceptance, particularly Arab, to strengthen relations, build trust, and help Lebanon emerge from its isolation."
Hout added:
"The Army Commander is among the names that meet these criteria, especially as he requires 86 votes to reflect this internal acceptance or consensus. Naturally, we will be part of this consensus tomorrow if the conditions for it are met."
Hout: If there's consensus on the Army Commander tomorrow, we'll join it
