The Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote on X: "We are closely monitoring developments in Syria and will ensure that the Iranian regime does not exploit the situation there to transfer weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon through Syrian territory."
He added: "Hezbollah suffered a defeat in the recent battle, and we must ensure that it does not smuggle weapons into Lebanon through Syrian territory."
