Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati held "the international community responsible for the continuity of the Israeli genocide war against Lebanon, the destruction of the towns and villages, the killing of civilians, the assassination of army members, targeting the medical crews and Civil Defense and rescue teams, in addition to the attacks on the UNIFIL."
"Our position and decision are to preserve Lebanon's dignity and," Mikati said at the beginning of a cabinet session at the Grand Serail.
"We will not be lenient towards any violation or attack," he vowed. "The continuous and growing Israeli attacks against Lebanon have turned into crimes against humanity and civilization, violating all the international laws and charters," he stressed.
"The main entrance to any solution that Lebanon accepts is the cessation of war and the full implementation of UN Resolution 1701, in addition to embarking on electing a president of the republic," he said.
On a different note, Mikati congratulated Donald Trump on his election as the President of the US.
