The General Directorate of Civil Defense on Thursday announced that for the fourth consecutive day, its brigades, supported by equipment from various centers and aided by helicopters from the Lebanese Army's Air Force, are continuing firefighting operations across extensive areas of grasslands and forested regions between Rabweh, Beit Misk, and Nabiyeh.
Since early morning, Civil Defense Director General Brigadier Raymond Khattar has been overseeing the operations, emphasizing the importance of positioning firefighting equipment near residential buildings to mitigate any potential threats.
Efforts are intensifying to extinguish certain flare-ups that could reignite due to the increased wind strength.
However, the situation is trending toward a reassuring conclusion as the teams work diligently to control the fires.
