Caretaker Minister of Information Ziad Makary received head of the Parliamentary Media and Telecommunications Committee, MP Ibrahim Moussawi, at his office.
The meeting addressed the latest developments in Lebanon, particularly in light of escalating Israeli attacks and violations of Lebanese sovereignty, as well as a series of breaches committed by several local, Arab, and foreign media outlets.
The discussion emphasized the importance of Lebanese media adhering to national principles and professional responsibility by ensuring the accuracy of news and reports.
The participants also warned against the dangers of incitement and the stirring of sectarian tensions. They agreed to continue both political and media efforts, forming a follow-up committee that includes relevant stakeholders.
