Former Minister and MP Ahmad Karami passed away at dawn Sunday at the age of 76, following a sudden health problem at the medical center at the American University of Beirut.

Ahmad Karami was born August 29, 1944 in Tripoli, North Lebanon.
In politics, Karami was elected two times as a Deputy for Tripoli in the North Governorate in the 1996 and 2009 sessions.
He was appointed minister of state in June 2011 to the cabinet led by Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
