Demonstrations continued on Friday in Tripoli as protesters staged sit-ins in front of banks, government departments, and public institutions, chanting slogans calling for "overthrowing the ruling system in the country."
The protesters also asked of employees to leave their offices whilst students staged sit-ins in front of schools that opened today and prevented students from entering their classes.
Lebanese University students also staged a sit-in in front of the university premises.
Meanwhile, traffic in the northern city is almost normal and all roads are open to traffic.
