Kataeb Party leader, MP Samy Gemayel, on Friday addressed those in power calling on them to leave and pave the way for a new rule that’s capable of remedying the dire situation that the nation endured.
"We have told you that the Lebanese people are in anger and asked of you to leave with dignity rather than be expelled,” he said in his address to the ruling team.
“Hunger does not differentiate between Christians, Muslims, partisans, independent people, women, and men. A greeting to every Lebanese who is rising today for his/her dignity in the face of officials,” Gemayel added.
“I call on all the Lebanese, including Kataeb Party friends to carry on with the protests they started yesterday until the goal is achieved. (...)The demand is clear - the immediate resignation of the government of quotas and settlements, and the formation of a government of specialists entrusted with the task of saving the economic and daily living situation, as well as preparation for early parliamentary elections,” Gemayel concluded.
