The leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham Ahmad Al-Sharaa affirmed that what happened in Syria was not a coincidence and had been prepared for years.
Al-Sharaa stated: "There are no excuses for any foreign intervention in Syria now after the Iranians have left." He added: "We have ready plans for development and rebuilding in Syria, to address all its crises, and we are currently in the information-gathering phase. Syria needs law and a state of institutions, and the state should not be governed with a revolutionary mindset."
He continued: "We controlled major cities without displacing anyone, and what we achieved is bigger than just a 'battle.'"
Regarding the issue of Captagon, Al-Sharaa pointed out that "the Assad regime deserves a global award for manufacturing Captagon, and we will put an end to its production in Syria."
Highlighting that the Russians are tired of the crumbling Assad regime, he said: "We gave Russia an opportunity to build a new relationship, tried to balance matters with them, and sent them messages."
As for Israel, he noted that its pretexts for entering Syria no longer exist, saying: "We are not in the process of engaging in a conflict with Israel."
