Fanar folks want their share of peace but it doesn’t seem to come their way easily.
Tuesday night confined residents of Fanar to the Zoaiteria neighborhood’s ominous threats.
One shell dropped on the Lebanese University’s Science branch campus, another hit a nearby location. The Assyrians' neighborhood was also pounded on Monday night as one Energa missile landed on a house inhabited by a Syrian family.
The missiles inflicted only material damage this time since the campus is usually vacant during summer.
Local residents denounced the provocative assault by Zoaiteria gangs, stressing that the purpose was to instill terror in the area after the army had turned a notorious drug lord's lair, known as Abou Salleh, into a military outpost.
The army intelligence and security forces scanned the targeted locations and launched an investigation in the hopes of catching the perpetrators.
