With controversy still fresh and sticky, gossip pertaining to Argentinean National Team captain Lionel Messi’s million-dollar donation to Israel and the player’s silence as to such allegations, remains as one of the most talked about hearsay by football fanatics.
However, after a long silence that seemed dodgy, the Argentinean captain took a deep breath and slammed such gossip in a magazine interview.
“I am a parent and I am fully aware of parenthood. I cannot sympathize with a nation that slays children while my son could be one of them!” Messi said, “Israel is a rich nation, so I’d rather donate to hospitals and to education in Argentina […].”
This final stance by the star player comes to bash out all controversy following the World Cup event where Messi was purportedly said to sympathize with Israel and to donate one million dollars to aforementioned nation, something that had less than a positive impact on ball-lovers.
