Beirut river crocodile swimming freely

Citizens were able to see Beirut river crocodile in the region located between Sukleen headquarters and the slaughterhouse in Quarantina.

“mtv” team headed to the place early on Saturday after rumors saying there will be present a team of “animals Lebanon” one of the Charity organization that protects animals in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture. However this did not happen till 10 o’clock in the morning while one of the fishermen said he saw more than six crocodiles intermittently.

The veterinary Dr. Walid Darwiche inspected the place and pointed out that the crocodile is of the Nile, the mostly dangerous in the world killing hundreds of people each year and its mainland is Africa.

Media news reported that a crocodile of 4.5m long was seen in one of Beqaa Rivers. It attacked those who were on the bank but they escaped miraculously. The crocodile’s color was black which means that it’s more than 10 years old.
