Head of the Lebanese Forces Party Samir Geagea considered that "the axis of resistance is trying to prevent anything positive," noting that "state institutions are disintegrating, services are decreasing, and they have disrupted the presidential elections."
He said in a speech during the national solidarity meeting "1701 in Defense of Lebanon" in Maarab: "We have reached a point where there is 'no state in Lebanon,' as a statelet is confiscating the strategic decision and legalizing illegal crossings on the eastern borders."
Geagea added, "Military operations in the south commenced solely on Hezbollah's decision, without any government involvement; no individual or party has the right to drag a nation into war."
He emphasized, "The military operations in the south did not benefit Palestine in any way; as the opposition, our duty is to highlight where the current danger lies."
Geagea concluded, "Hezbollah is incapable of defending Lebanon; the solution is for the Lebanese army to deploy independently at every location where Hezbollah is present."
