Head of the Lebanese Forces Party Samir Geagea met in Maarab with the French Ambassador to Lebanon Herve Magro, accompanied by the political and media attaché Romain Calvari, in the presence of the member of the Executive Committee, former MP Eddy Abi Lamaa, the head of the Foreign Relations Department, former Minister Richard Kouyoumjian.
The attendees discussed the developments and changes taking place in the region and their impact on Lebanon and how to keep up with them, in addition to the circumstances of implementing the ceasefire agreement and relevant international resolutions.
The pair also discussed the presidential elections and the session of January 9, in addition to the ongoing contacts and consultations on this issue on more than one level.
Geagea stressed the necessity of electing a president capable of moving the Lebanese from the old deep state to a sovereign and modern state, a president with the personality of a statesman who is capable of carrying a reform program and has the ability to implement it.
