Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati met at the Grand Serail on Wednesday, Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Dr. Yasser Alawi, with whom he discussed the current general situation in Lebanon and the broad region, in addition to the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Caretaker Premier also met with MPs Sajih Attieh and Jimmy Jabbour, who visited him with an accompanying Akkari delegation of potato farmers and heads of municipal unions.
The Prime Minister also received, in the presence of Caretaker Minister of Youth and Sports George Kallas, a delegation from the Lebanese Football Association and its clubs, headed by the Association President, Hashem Haidar.
The club heads presented to the Prime Minister a proposal to rehabilitate and invest sports stadiums belonging to sports facilities and municipal stadiums, as well as to activate their work and re-advance their role, as federal clubs capable of assisting in the sports and national advancement process.
It was decided, based on the directives of the Prime Minister, to form a committee from the federation to quickly follow up on the issue under the supervision of the Minister of Youth and Sports.
It was also decided to hold the first meeting of the committee on Tuesday, April 11, at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Premier Mikati also received a delegation from the Tripoli Sports Club.
