Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri cabled on Sunday the Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi, denouncing the heinous assassination attempt against him and congratulating him on his safety.

In his cable, Hariri asked the Lord Almighty “to protect Iraq and its people from all evil, and to grant al-Kadhimi the determination, strength and wisdom to promote the democratic path of the Iraqi people,” condemning all misguided forces that are betting on the persistence of chaos and fighting in Iraq.
