Finance Minister Yassine Jaber met in his office at the ministry, with UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert.
Minister Jaber stressed to the UN Coordinator that "the international community is called upon to assist Lebanon, particularly those affected by the war, as this is the primary means of ensuring sustainable stability."
During the meeting, discussions reportedly touched on the general situation, particularly in the south, and the steps taken to implement UN Resolution 1701, in addition to the ongoing cooperation between Lebanon and the United Nations in various fields.
The discussion also touched on the reforms sought by the Lebanese government and the Ministry of Finance.
