National Defense Minister, Major General Michel Menassa, met at his Yarzeh office, with Czech Ambassador to Lebanon Jiri Dolezel, who came on a farewell visit upon the end of his diplomatic mission in the country.
The discussion reportedly touched on the bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly military cooperation.
Minister Menassa later received Australian Ambassador to Lebanon Andrew Barnes, with talks touching on the bilateral relations between the two countries, especially the situation in southern Lebanon, the implementation of Resolution 1701, and Australia's role in contributing to the Lebanese Army support program.
The Minister of Defense also met with former Army Commander General Jean Kahwaji.
Separately, Minister Menassa met with a delegation from the administrative body of the Lebanese Greek Orthodox League, who congratulated him on assuming his new ministerial responsibilities.
The delegation briefed the Minister on the League’s work program and its future projects.
