Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh received in his office at the National Library in Sanayeh, Indian Ambassador to Lebanon Muhammad Noor Rahman Sheikh, accompanied by Mr. Biju Joseph, who came on a protocol visit.
Ambassador Sheikh congratulated Minister Salameh on assuming his ministerial duties and wishing him success in his mission.
The meeting also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries at various levels, especially cultural ones.
The ambassador also expressed his hope to "develop cooperation between India and Lebanon through signing a memorandum of understanding and cultural exchange between the two countries, in addition to encouraging the Lebanese to participate in the Indian Technical Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program."
