Minister of State for Administrative Development Fadi Makki met with a delegation from the World Bank at his office, led by Sylvia Solf, Practice Manager for the Middle East and North Africa, alongside Digital Development Specialist Abdullah Jabbour and Senior Digital Development Specialist Christopher Tullis.
Discussions reportedly focused on previous efforts that led to the adoption of Lebanon’s Digital Transformation Strategy in 2022. The meeting emphasized the need for a clear roadmap with prioritized actions to initiate the strategy’s implementation. Particular attention was given to fast-tracking key projects, including digital identity and electronic signature systems. The role of the Ministry of Administrative Development in coordinating efforts across ministries and agencies, in collaboration with the Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, was also highlighted.
