A Ramadan iftar was held on Monday evening honoring journalists who covered the war on Lebanon. The event was attended by Information Minister Paul Morcos, and former Minister Ziad Makary.
Minister Makary commended Lebanese media for their professionalism during the war, stressing that while politicians remained divided, journalists from various outlets stood together, often risking their lives. He also urged Minister Morcos to continue protecting the press and advancing Lebanon’s media sector.
In turn, Minister Morcos vowed to support journalists with legal and institutional backing, emphasizing their crucial role in defending truth. He underscored the importance of strengthening state media, including Télé Liban, and ensuring journalists receive the recognition and protection they deserve.
