Minister of Telecommunications Charles Hajj welcomed US Ambassador to Lebanon Lisa Johnson, who paid him a protocol visit and congratulated him on assuming his ministerial duties.
Discussions covered bilateral relations and developments in various sectors, particularly telecommunications.
Minister Hajj emphasized the urgent need for stability to facilitate Lebanon’s reconstruction efforts, stressing that ongoing Israeli violations continue to undermine security.
The Telecoms Minister also urged the United States to exert necessary pressure to ensure the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the five occupied points, noting that sustained incursions keep the situation fragile.
