President of the Republic Joseph Aoun stressed the importance of Arab unity in addressing regional challenges during a meeting with a delegation of Arab ambassadors.
“What is happening in the region does not only affect the Palestinian people but has repercussions on all Arab nations, including Lebanon. The current challenges can only be met with a unified Arab position,” Aoun stated.
Aoun went on to express hope for Arab support to restore Lebanon’s historic role as a cultural and economic hub.
“Lebanon must once again be the ‘window of the Arabs,’ as described by the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud,” Aoun said.
Reaffirming Lebanon’s commitment to regional stability, the President emphasized that the country will not serve as a platform for attacks against any state, particularly its Arab brethren.
