Lebanese parties condemned the events that took place last night, when a UNIFIL officer was injured when one of its vehicles caught fire on Friday on the Beirut airport road.
The Progressive Socialist Party described what happened in the country recently as "unacceptable and unjustified acts", and considered that the attack on UNIFIL forces coincides with the Israeli occupation's attacks on these forces to prevent them from performing their role alongside the Lebanese army in implementing international resolution 1701 and exposing the enemy's attacks and violations.
The Amal Movement announced that the attack on UNIFIL is an "attack on southern Lebanon", and that blocking roads anywhere is a "stab in civil peace".
The Future Movement also issued a statement in which it considered the attack on UNIFIL unacceptable by all standards and poses a threat to Lebanon's relationship with the international community.
