The handover ceremony at the Ministry of Labor took place between outgoing Minister Mustafa Bayram, and newly appointed Minister, Dr. Mohammed Haidar, in the presence of ministry officials and representatives from the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and the International Labor Organization.
Bayram emphasized continuity in governance and highlighted achievements, including digitizing 90% of ministry services to enhance efficiency and prevent exploitation. He also noted advancements in social security and vocational training programs.
In turn, Haidar affirmed his commitment to improving labor conditions, raising the minimum wage in coordination with economic sectors, and strengthening social security.
The newly appointed Minister also stressed the importance of securing NSSF funds from the state and addressing healthcare concerns for workers, including foreign laborers.
Haidar finally underscored his data-driven approach and pledged close collaboration with ministry employees to enhance workers' rights and welfare.
