Lebanese Forces Party leader Samir Geagea met at his Maarab residence with a delegation of municipalities of southern towns, over the needs and affairs of the southern region.
The delegation comprised the municipal heads of the villages of Rmeich, Ain Ebel, Debel, Kawkaba, Deir Mimas, and Alma ash Shaab, representatives of the municipalities of Jdaidet Marjayoun and Rachaya Al Foukhar, and the mayors of Ebel El Saqi, Qlayaa, Boueida, Abou Kamha, Hasbaya and Qouzah.
“The reason of today’s visit is to thank the LF leader for his follow-up on the situation of the border towns throughout the 14-month war,” said Rmeish municipal head, Milad al-Alam, following the meeting.
“We informed the LF head of the locals’ rejection of receiving any aid or compensations from any side other than the Lebanese state and the official sides,” he added.
