Notably, the seating arrangement in the Presidential Hall during the presidential election session placed MP Gebran Bassil, leader of the Free Patriotic Movement, alongside MPs Ibrahim Kanaan and Simon Abi Ramia, both of whom had previously resigned from the movement.
