Lebanese Army Command's Orientation Directorate issued a communiqué this evening, indicating that "the Army units have been stationed around the town of Naqoura - Tyre and have begun deploying there in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon - UNIFIL, and in conjunction with the meeting of the five-member committee supervising the ceasefire agreement mechanism in Ras al-Naqoura, in the presence of the Senior Advisor to US President Joe Biden, Mr. Amos Hochstein, in parallel with the withdrawal of the Israeli enemy from the town."
The communiqué added that the deployment will be completed during the next phase, and the specialized units will conduct a technical survey of the town to remove unexploded ordnance.
“Therefore, the Army Command urges citizens not to approach the area and to adhere to the instructions of the military units until the deployment is completed," the communiqué concluded.
