The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces (ISF) announced that Caretaker Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Judge Bassam Mawlawi, and ISF Director General, Major General Imad Othman, will supervise the launch of security patrols to ensure public safety on New Year’s Eve.
The event will take place on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Emile El-Haddad Barracks in Beirut. Minister Mawlawi and Major General Othman are scheduled to arrive at 5:30 pm, with the patrols officially launched at 6:00 pm.
The ISF invited journalists to cover the event and requested their presence at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time. The ceremony will be broadcast live by Tele Liban (TL), with footage available for use by other media outlets without station branding.
