Head of the Lebanese Forces Party Samir Geagea indicated that "it became clear to him personally and through the contacts he is making regarding the presidential file that the system is still present and is continuing its work as a system as if nothing had happened," noting that the axis of resistance does not want General Joseph Aoun, and of course, the Free Patriotic Movement does not want him either, and they are planning to overthrow him in the elections.
He said: "The system is working day and night to impose a president for the republic who does not achieve the aspirations of the Lebanese people, but rather guarantees them the continuation of the past stage. In return, we are continuing to work with all seriousness to prevent them from achieving that, and we will not allow them to revive themselves again through a president who implements their agenda."
Geagea's remarks came during the annual dinner of the Lebanese Forces Party, at the party's headquarters in Maarab.
