Caretaker Minister of Public Works Ali Hamieh emphasized Lebanon’s sovereignty over its facilities and border crossings in a statement on X, writing: "Before, during, and after the war, all Lebanese state facilities, land and sea crossings, and the airport are under the authority of the state and its laws. We have full confidence in the Lebanese Army, all security agencies, and customs, which are performing their duties at the crossings in accordance with the law."
