Following the meeting, Hayek stated: "This was an important opportunity to meet with the Kataeb Leader to discuss the presidential elections and the future of the country. We believe that elections are the first step, followed by addressing the future of our society and youth, as we strive to halt the ongoing brain drain."
"Additionally, we emphasize that the President of the Republic should be a consensus figure for all Lebanese, garnering the broadest possible support from parliamentary and political blocs. This would enable the implementation of a comprehensive plan for the country’s future, whether through a national dialogue conference or other means. The key is to achieve a unified vision for progress," he added.
