Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati held talks with Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani, whom he met at the Grand Serail.
"I discussed with the Prime Minister the Qatari aid," said the diplomat following the meeting, noting that 21 planes carryings over 100 tons of aid have landed in Lebanon until now.
He added that he congratulated the Prime Minister on the ceasefire, renewing Qatar's support for Lebanon. "Qatari tourists will come to Lebanon and life will be normal again," he said.
In response to a question about whether Qatar will contribute to Lebanon's reconstruction after the war, he answered: "We have not discussed this issue yet. In the first stage, we provide humanitarian aid; there will be many other stages, God willing."
Mikati later met with Poland's Ambassador to Lebanon, Aleksandra Bukowska McCabe, who came on a protocol visit.
He also held talks over the latest developments with Deputy Prime Minister Saadeh Chami.
