Caretaker Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib received a phone call from Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi who expressed Iran’s support for the ceasefire in Lebanon.
Bou Habib thanked Araghchi for Iran's position and emphasized the importance of continued support for implementing arrangements under UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
Araghchi reiterated Iran's commitment to supporting the Lebanese Army by enhancing its capabilities to maintain security south of the Litani River.
Both ministers also agreed on the necessity of restoring stability and the full sovereignty of the Syrian state over its territory.
