The group said in a statement that it wants an agreement that “ends the war in Gaza and sees the release of foreign hostages as well as Palestinians jailed by Israel”.
It praised the achievement of a ceasefire in Lebanon, which went into effect in the early hours of this morning, saying that it hopes this agreement would “pave the way to reaching a ceasefire that ends the genocide against our people in Gaza”.
“The acceptance of the enemy to reach a deal without achieving its goal is an important step to demolish the illusions in defeating the resistance”, Hamas’s statement added.
